Major bones and skeletal structures flashcards for iPhone
Twenty-seven major bones and skeletal structures, shown on clean anterior and posterior anatomy plates. Name the teal highlight, then flip for the answer and its location.
What’s inside
This is a survey of the skeleton's major landmarks: nine axial structures along the body's central axis, and eighteen appendicular structures in the girdles and limbs. It includes the regions of the vertebral column, the thoracic cage, the long bones, and grouped bones of the hands and feet. It is not a card-by-card inventory of all 206 bones in an adult skeleton.
Each front is a tightly cropped anatomy plate with one structure in teal and the surrounding bones muted for context. The back gives the standard name, identifies it as axial or appendicular, and describes where it sits. Text-to-speech is enabled for the answer side, so Flickdeck can pronounce unfamiliar names during review.

Who it’s for
Students starting anatomy, nursing, or allied-health coursework, and curious adults who want a reliable map of the skeleton before tackling finer landmarks. It is a foundation deck, not a substitute for a complete anatomy course.

Source and accuracy
The terminology, location notes, and original plate artwork come from LearnStuff's anatomy project and were reviewed on July 23, 2026. Names were checked against the IFAA's Terminologia Anatomica, and the axial/appendicular divisions and regional descriptions were checked against OpenStax Anatomy and Physiology 2e.
