Greek alphabet flashcards for iPhone
All twenty-four letters in alphabet order, alpha through omega. The front shows the uppercase and lowercase forms together; flip the card for the name.
What’s inside
Most people don't meet the Greek alphabet in Greece. They meet it one symbol at a time in a math lecture, a physics problem set, or a statistics textbook, where θ and φ and λ arrive without introductions. This deck fixes the whole set in one sitting's worth of cards: each front shows a letter in both cases, and the back gives its name. Sigma's card carries all three forms, since ς appears only at the end of a word.
The deck runs letter to name, the direction you actually need when a formula puts ξ in front of you. Once the names are solid, the reverse direction tends to come free. The speak button is off for this deck; a synthesizer reading bare letters aloud would give the answer away or mangle it, depending on its mood.
Sample cards
| Front | Back |
|---|---|
| Α α | alpha |
| Ξ ξ | xi |
| Σ σ ς | sigma |
| Ω ω | omega |
